Managing Director (Wurry Bah)

Mr. Wurra Bah is the Managing Director of the Gambia Printing and Publishing Corporation (GPPC). He provides strategic leadership and oversees the Corporation’s operations, with a focus on modernization, efficiency, and service excellence in The Gambia’s printing and publishing sector.

He brings a wealth of experience from the public sector, having built his career through progressive leadership roles in national institutions. He began his professional journey at a government-owned newspaper, where he gained valuable experience in publishing operations and media administration.

Mr Bah holds a Diploma in Management from the Management Development Institute (MDI). A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (Cum Laude) from the University of The Gambia (UTG), and also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the renowned KDI School of Public Policy and Management, South Korea.

Mr Bah has undergone a series of professional trainings courses such as Practitioner Certificate in Project Management from PRINCE 2, Certificate in Leadership & Competence from the Management Development Institute, Certificate in Public Procurement Rules, Regulations and Procedures and a Certificate in concept note and project proposal writing, RDI and many others.

He later served at the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) as Deputy Director, Administration where he contributed to institutional management, administrative coordination, and service delivery at the municipal level.
In 2025, he joined GPPC as Deputy Managing Director. Shortly after his appointment, he assumed the role of Acting Managing Director, providing steady leadership and direction to the Corporation during a critical transition period.

Following a year of dedicated service and demonstrated leadership, he was officially confirmed as Managing Director in January 2026.
Under his leadership, GPPC continues to strengthen its operational systems, improve service delivery, and enhance its role as a key national institution responsible for secure and commercial printing. Bah is passionate about building strong teams, promoting transparency, and ensuring that GPPC remains a trusted and forward-looking national institution.
